Boy Scouts March
On January 16th, 2009 a team of 24 Boy Scouts and 10 Scout Leaders traveled to Washington D.C. representing the Texoma Valley District, and Circle Ten Council of North Texas, during the week of the Presidential Inauguration festivities.

Chasing Bootleggers in Texoma
The year was 1956. Bootlegging was the number one crime in Grayson County and a way of life in Sherman and Denison. Thirsty drinkers were willing pay for their liquor, and a bootlegger could double his money hauling hooch up US 75, the two-lane ribbon of concrete that connected Sherman to Dallas.

Joetta Cotton Makes Things Happen
In 1978, the Cottons moved to Chickasha, Oklahoma, Ronald’s home town. Joetta worked as a secretary in an oil field company. When the oil business went bust, she landed a job in the Chickasha Library as an administrative assistant and loved it. She took library science classes and completed a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and soon became the Library Director.
