The article written by Edward Southerland and Kimberly Mauch was well written and a tribute to Bill’s father. For one, I’m glad my husband took up the trumpet at a young age under his father’s tutelage—his fi rst love was drums. That Bill would go on to earn two music education degrees bonded the two. “Young Men with Horns,” was a delight to read.
