“My alarm went off at 2:30 that morning, just like any other day. Actually, I got into work a little early, about 3:30. Nicole Holt, my co-anchor, came in, and I started putting together the show. I did the last cut-in [a five-minute local news break] at 8:55, and walked off the set. I never imagined it would be my last time on the air at Channel 12.”

Lapping the Field

There is nothing special about the old metal building standing in quiet obscurity somewhere in Sherman. Dream Home

The couple had a wish list for their perfect home. They wanted a master suite addition, an enlarged kitchen, a pantry and a laundry room, as well as a den with room for a television that Lawrence could call his own private space. Art Talk

The 2nd Floor Gallery at Grayson County College has been drawing people with a yen for Steve O. Black’s creative and often unorthodox theme shows for the last ten years. Now the gallery has lost its space, temporarily at least, due to ongoing renovation of the GCC campus. Fear not, the shows will go on.
